Why We Need the FPY Scholarships Program: Individuals, schools, and other community organizations sometimes find themselves in the position of having funds to arrange a scholarship program, but are lacking the expertise to set up the program structure needed to award the scholarship to a deserving youth(s). FPY provides technical support to these individuals and organizations to plan and implement their scholarship programs.

How We Do It: FPY offers technical support to programs on a case-by-case basis, offering information and advice ad strategies for program structure, oversight, implementation and promotion.

FPY Scholarships Program Results: Youth who have the desire to pursue post-secondary education have improved access to scholarships from donors in their communities. FPY is currently partnering with the JEB Stuart Foundation to provide scholarship opportunities for JEB Stuart high school graduates to access higher education. In the 07/08 school year, 20 out of 29 scholarship recipients were enrolling in NOVA community college or GMU.
