The Fairfax Partnership for Youth (FPY) welcomes Sarah Edwards,
who will be starting her summer internship with us the week of May 19th,
2008. Throughout her college career, she has worked with multiple youth
empowerment initiatives in the community. Currently, she is the Coordinator
for Campaign for Adolescent and University Student Empowerment (CAUSE),
a youth empowerment program working with 12-18 year old youth in DeLand,
Florida. She brings to FPY her non-profit management experience in budgeting,
working with student staff, and contributions to a community grant program.
She also worked with the CAUSE youth council at at the local teen center.
She brings to FPY a passion for positive youth development, service,
and making a difference for a non-profit organization. She is excited
to have the opportunity to work with the youth in Fairfax County, and
work on a plan for a youth council. Upon completion of the internship,
she plans to pursue a career in public service for either a non-profit
or non-governmental organization.
