Celebrating 10 Years

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Fairfax Partnership for Youth. During this period our accomplishments include:

  • Advocated for after school programs - 26 programs covers all middle schools
  • Conducted 300 youth suicide prevention training per year
  • 240 conference attendees per year discussing youth suicide and depression
  • Developed and distributed over 1000 mental health resource guides
    per year
  • Conducted annual depression screenings at High Schools
  • Maintained a network of 32 mentoring providers for the youth
  • Trained an average 100+ mentors each year and received 150+ mentor inquires
  • Served 100+ students per year in SOS averaging over 500 days of supervision per year

All this could not have been done without the support provided by the FPY Board and Staff; the Fairfax County Public School System and Board; state and local government officials; local businesses and organizations; community groups and individuals. Not to forget the youth, whom we serve.

None of our successes could have been achieved without the dedicated efforts by all. Together we have built a solid organization that serves as an advocate, advisor and service provider for our youth. This is an accomplishment that deserves recognition. We express heartfelt thanks to all who supported our efforts and initiatives over the past 10 years.
